I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
